Some of our brand new Year 13 pupils preparing for the Year 8 Buddy Scheme. I’m sure you’ll agree they look really smart in their white shirts!
Each of our senior pupils will be matched with a Year 8 to be their buddy throughout the year. Their first session involved some icebreaker activities and getting to know you questions and answers. As the term continues, they will meet up during Tuesday morning Personal Development lessons to ensure the Year 8 pupils have settled into KHS. Later, they will join up to provide tips and advice to help the Year 8s to prepare for their very first school exams. This has proven to be a very popular and beneficial scheme in KHS and it would not be possible without the help of our new A-Level students.
