This year’s Upper Sixth have been making the most of their final week at KHS, creating special memories together as they prepare to move on to the next stage of their journey. The celebrations began with a wonderful breakfast organised by their form tutors, Mrs Annett, Mrs Butler and Mrs Graham‑McMath, with sausage baps, pancakes, granola pots and toast all enjoyed over a well‑earned cuppa. Pupils chatted and laughed as they watched a presentation filled with photos from their time at KHS, from Year 8 right through to the present day.
The fun continued with their creative “anything but a bag” theme, where pupils arrived with everything from a dog crate and Hetty Hoover to drawers and even a wheelie bin. The arrival of their leavers’ hoodies added another special moment and plenty of opportunities for photos. Later, the group shared what will be their final lunch together, with a big thank you to Gary Coulter of The Dolphin for providing the delicious chips for their chip butties. After enjoying some well‑deserved chocolate cake, pupils marked the occasion by creating handprints, signing shirts and cards, and capturing even more photos to remember their time together.
The celebrations ended on a high with pupils surprising staff with their own take on the “Strike a Pose” trend — with videos to follow soon.
We would like to thank all of our Year 14 pupils for the contribution they have made to life at KHS. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them and wish them the very best in their exams and in the exciting journey ahead.
