Kilkeel High School 7-0 Castlederg High School
Before the half-term holidays, the U16 girls’ hockey team delivered a sensational performance at home against Castlederg HS in the quarter-final of the High School Cup. Despite it being their very first match together – a blend of both junior and senior players – the girls rose to the occasion with confidence and determination.
From the first whistle, they showcased outstanding teamwork, sharp passing and impressive individual skill, dominating the game from start to finish. Their cohesion on the pitch looked anything but new, and their relentless work rate paid off in style.
A flurry of goals from Carly, Ruby, Sarah, Rebecca and Chloe sealed a well‑deserved victory and secured their place in the semi‑final after half-term, where they will take on Cookstown HS.
A brilliant achievement and a fantastic team effort – well done, girls!
