U16 Boys Football Secure Impressive Away Win Over All Saints College

The U16 boys football team travelled to All Saints College this week in what was an entertaining game of football.

Kilkeel started the game confidently and moved the ball well. In the early stages, the All
Saints keeper pulled off a great save to deny Charlie. However, it was Charlie who soon got his goal with a smart finish from 10 yards. Charlie could have doubled his lead after some nice football but couldn’t get his attempt on target. As the half progressed All Saints started to grow into the game and nearly equalised when they smashed the crossbar.

Into the second half and All Saints used the wind to their advantage and got themselves level when their striker finished well, showing good strength. Kilkeel had to withstand some pressure and play on the counterattack. The goal of the game arrived when Nathan pirouetted, taking 3 defenders out of the game, and finished smartly into the bottom corner. This was a goal which capped a great all round performance from Nathan. Harley sealed the win when he bundled over the line after Rhys had a great effort tipped onto the bar. Kilkeel saw out the last few minutes to record a great away win.
