Over the past two weeks, over 90 Kilkeel High School pupils were competing at the County Down Athletics’ Championships at the Mary Peters’ Track in Belfast. There were some fantastic results, with 16 medals being achieved overall and 45 pupils finished in the top 6 athletes in their event and 55 students achieved a top 8 finish. A very creditable performance.
The medalists now progress to the Ulster Championships, also at the Mary Peters’ Track this week, Wednesday 13th May for the Minors and Juniors and the others competing on Saturday 16th May.
