After a break of two years it was an enthusiastic and re-energised group of 75 athletes from Kilkeel HS that came back to competitive track and field action at the Mary Peters’ Track in Belfast in April and May 2022.
They were eager to make up for lost time and the KHS pupils achieved an impressive haul of 17 medals over the two separate days of competition. This therefore enabled the athletes to qualify for the Ulster Athletics’ Championships at the Antrim Forum.
