KHS are U14 High School Cup Winners and U18 Intermediate Cup Winners

Thursday 14th March was a brilliant day for our girls’ hockey teams!!!
The u14s were crowned High School Cup champions after another round of penalty run-ins against Newtownhamilton High. Rebecca got the girls an important early goal and the girls didn’t give up until the end, despite the Newtownhamilton equaliser. Monique, Carly, Ruby and Rebecca converted their run-ins and our super star keeper Evie made some very important saves!
A few minutes later, the u18 girls were crowned the first ever Intermediate Cup champions after a very hard fought 2-0 win over Cookstown. Alexandra broke the deadlock with the first goal and Isabella getting the important second from a penalty corner rebound.
We are so proud of our girls and to see both the teams (with girls from every year group in KHS) celebrating at the end together was something very special.
It was also the last school match for 5 of our senior players and what a way to end their KHS school hockey journey!
