Inclusion and Diversity week continues at KHS. In Citizenship Year 8 are making posters about human rights and Year 9 are looking at the topic of refugees. Citizenship students also completed questionnaires and discussed responses to show how diverse we all are and to respect differences. In computing, students programmed Microbits to show a message on respect.
In Year 9 assembly, students learned what respect looks like and also examined behaviours which would be classified as disrespectful. Pupils learned about how their actions can impact others. This was developed in PD to examine ways to be respectful in the school environment. Each Year 9 student then produced a poster on respect – keep an eye on the website as these will be appearing soon!
