Congratulations to Ella (9C) who represented KHS at the final of the annual Environmental Youth Speak competition held in Downshire Civic Centre, Downpatrick, on Thursday 27th March.
Students from forty schools had submitted their speeches online and Ella was selected as one of the four successful senior finalists.
She delivered a thought-provoking and informative speech on the topic, “Back to the future: learning from the past to reduce our carbon footprint” and achieved 2nd place in a highly competitive competition! Ella was awarded a framed certificate and voucher.
