⭐️ Environmental Youth Speak Success ⭐️
Congratulations to Kayla (Year 10) who represented KHS at the final of the annual Environmental Youth Speak competition held in Downshire Civic Centre, Downpatrick, on Monday 23rd March. Students from 40 schools had submitted their speeches online and Kayla was selected as one of the five successful senior finalists.
She delivered a thought-provoking and informative speech on the topic, “How the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals are Important to Me” and achieved runner up in a highly competitive competition! Kayla was awarded a certificate and voucher.
Many thanks to Newry, Mourne and Down District Council for organising a great event and congratulations to all the schools and prize winners.
