A Level Success at KHS!

On behalf of the Governors and teaching staff of Kilkeel High School, we would like to congratulate our A2 and AS pupils on some very fine results achieved this past academic year. We are delighted that our Year 14 pupils in particular, have excelled. They richly deserve every accolade afforded to them at this time, for their results clearly reflect a year group who demonstrated diligence in their preparation for their final examinations. Our AS results too, are evident that pupils worked hard in order to achieve their academic goals. We are delighted too that Mark Hamilton has been accepted to Trinity College, Cambridge to pursue a degree in Engineering. We wish Mark and the rest of his year group all the best.

Needless to say, our pupils are ecstatic that their hard work has now been rewarded with positive results. As a school, we recognise that success at A-level study is only obtained through consistent hard work, good attendance, dedication and perseverance. Although we rejoice in the achievements of individual pupils who excelled in most subjects, we congratulate all our pupils for their individual successes this year.

It is evident that our pupils have not only applied themselves academically, but have also benefitted greatly from the pastoral support offered by parents and school staff during their seven years of study at Kilkeel High School. Congratulations too must be given to all the subject teachers who have continually and consistently facilitated, supported and encouraged our pupils during their school career to date.

As they now embark on the next phase of their life’s journey – be it at university or employment, we want to wish them well in their endeavours. It is our hope that they apply the same resilience to their future endeavours as they have done these past few years. “Well done Year 14s; we are immensely proud of you. May Father bless each of you in the years ahead!”
