At the beginning of March, KHS pupils took to the streets of the town for our annual Cross-Country event. This year, the proceeds raised were in aid of Daisy Lodge, a purpose-built therapeutic centre located in Newcastle Co. Down for families across the island of Ireland affected by cancer. We are so pleased that £2100 was raised by our pupils.
All Year 8 pupils participated, along with those pupils who had achieved qualifying times throughout the year during their PE lessons.
The highlight of this event is always our 6th Year pupils running the route in fancy dress, with this year showcasing some particularly strong efforts!
Well done to every single pupil who ran (or walked) the route, and raised money for this very important local charity.
