Mrs Rybarczyk who is Head of Modern Languages at Kilkeel High School has been named French Teacher of the Year.
Yuna has been awarded the top accolade for her passion and drive in teaching the subject in Northern Ireland for 13 years.
She beat off competition from nominees across the UK to receive the award from the French Institute in London, which champions the French language and culture.
The award is particularly linked to her work with SEN pupils at KHS, as well as the formation of a link between the languages’ department and a local primary school.
Yuna also runs the French Cultural and Educational Association of Northern Ireland. They aim to teach the French language to and celebrate French culture amongst young Francophones settled in NI.
