A big thank you to the Moderator of the Presbyterian church and the local ministers who called in to visit SU yesterday. Everyone had a great afternoon and enjoyed listening to the moderator answer a few questions. The Alpha course continues on Thursdays after school in Miss Annett's room and we would love to see all year 10 and senior pupils there.

Kilkeel High School and St. Louis Grammar School Art pupils recently visited the ‘True Colours’ exhibition in the Ulster Museum, Belfast to see a selection of the finest work of pupils from Northern Ireland. Queen's Academy Pharmacy & Engineering Taster Event

Today Year 9 and 10 pupils travelled to Newry High School to attend a Pharmacy and Engineering Taster event organised by Queen's University. Pupils took part in an engineering workshop learning about communication and advances in digital technology. They then went to the "lab" to conduct various experiments as part of the Pharmacy workshop. A very enjoyable event!!
Welcome back, Andrew!

On Thursday 5th January one of our former students Andrew Stewart came to visit us in the LSC. Andrew came to talk to our Year 12s about the opportunities available to them when they leave school. Currently Andrew is in his third year in SRC studying catering. He hopes to eventually go to work in a high end restaurant. We are so proud of Andrew and all our past students' achievements!
Action MS Thank You Luncheon

On Wednesday 11th January pupils and staff from KHS travelled to the Crown Plaza Hotel in Belfast to attend the Action MS Thank You Luncheon. All pupils invited had raised a minimum of £100. Missing from the photo are Bryson Kearney and Morgan McKee who were unable to attend. Many thanks to all pupils who continue to give to this very worthy cause.
True Colours Exhibition

Robyn Elliott who is currently a lower sixth pupil in Kilkeel High School, has been selected for the ‘True Colours’ exhibition of GCSE work, in The Ulster Museum, Belfast which opened last night.
