On Friday 7th October, a number of our Year 9 pupils participated in a workshop focusing on ‘Heading for Healthy Relationships’. This was delivered by representatives from the Women’s Aid. Pupils had the opportunity to learn about the advantages and disadvantages of relationships, they identified early warning signs of an unhealthy relationship, signs of a healthy relationship and were informed about coercive control. In teams, the pupils discussed the different categories of abuse, signs and effects of this and learned how to form a support network.
All pupils in 9H and 9T engaged fully in the workshop and represented our school in an excellent manner. Well done, 9H and 9T!
Women’s aid will return to KHS on Friday 28th October, to speak to the remaining Year 9 pupils.
