Internet Safety

Keeping our young people safe when using ICT

Keeping our young people safe when using ICT and online resources is vital, given the recent rise in instances of cyberbullying, sexting, problems associated with social networking sites and the resulting impact on school work

These issues prompted us to conduct our own survey, which questioned all of our pupils about the extent and nature of the time they spend online. After considering the results we organised an internet safety evening for parents to raise awareness of some of the relevant issues and provide them with guidance and support in addressing these at home.
